Who Is Tierney Family Farms?

Tierney Family Farms began with two big loves: growing things and spending time together as a family. What started as curiosity about aquaponics, aeroponics, and hydroponics on a Disney trip grew into a small suburban “farm” packed with fruit trees, berry patches, raised beds, and indoor experiments that proved you do not need acres of land to make a real impact.

Over time, outdoor growing turned into a garage grow room, MBA projects turned into real business plans, and weekend research turned into a mission.

We learned how accessible modern growing methods can be and saw how much confidence they give kids and adults when they realize they can grow food in almost any space.

Today, Tierney Family Farms is more of an educational hub rather than a traditional farm.

We still love growing basil, lettuce, tomatoes, and microgreens, but our main crop is knowledge: practical, family friendly, classroom ready guidance that helps people grow food, resilience, and character.

What We Do Now

Growing Education
We teach alternative growing methods like hydroponics, aquaponics, indoor and vertical systems, as well as traditional home gardening. Our goal is to turn complex concepts into clear, simple steps that families, schools, and communities can actually use, regardless of space or budget.

DIY Projects For Families And Classrooms
We create hands on projects that kids can do with parents, teachers, or caregivers. These activities make food security feel real and reachable, turning science and sustainability into something kids can see, touch, and taste.

Wendell The Giant Dachshund
Our children’s book series, Wendell The Giant Dachshund, uses a very big, very lovable dog to teach big ideas in a small, friendly way. Through Wendell’s stories, kids learn about kindness, courage, friendship, and standing up for others in ways that feel fun and relatable.

Presentations And Programs
We partner with schools and organizations to deliver talks and workshops on topics like AI, anti bullying, self esteem, the five second rule of kindness, being a good friend, and helping others. These sessions connect naturally with our growing projects and Wendell’s lessons, giving kids both tools and stories they can carry with them.

AI Brand Consulting
For organizations and brands, we also offer strategic guidance on using AI in a thoughtful way. That includes brand voice, content strategy, and practical systems that help leaders communicate clearly and consistently while still sounding human.

Our Goal

We believe everyone can grow something that matters: a pot of herbs on a windowsill, a classroom project, a kinder school culture, or a cleaner brand. When people learn how growing works and why it matters, they gain confidence that even small actions can change their families, their communities, and their future.
